I’m trying not to count the days on my calendar, but I know I’m approaching the half-way mark of summer vacation…. I thought I’d invite everyone to check-in, say hello, and fill us in on your summer so far! Whether you are heading to 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th grade, stop by and say hello!!!
My summer has been super so far! Mr. Brooks, Kendyl, Carson and I went on a cruise to Bermuda last week. We enjoyed every minute and loved seeing such a beautiful island. Later on this summer, Kendyl and Carson will head to their Auntie Robyn’s farm where they will stay for the week. Summer is a great time for visiting family.
Right now, I am at a conference in Lansdowne, Virginia where I am connecting with others who are interested in leadership in education. We’re talking a LOT about how to educate the Whole Child – how to keep every student Challenged, Healthy, Engaged, Safe and Supported. You’ll hear more about my thoughts on Whole Child as the school year goes on. Stay tuned!

I did take lots of pictures – if you come in to help, I’ll be sure to have my laptop with me so I can show you. I probably won’t be in for another couple weeks, but as I promised, I’ll post on the blog a few days ahead of time so you can plan on coming in if you like.

My cruise was wonderful – we went to Bermuda, and wow was it beautiful there. This week, Kendyl and Carson are at my sister’s farm, and Mr. Brooks and I are going to Newport, RI to visit for a few days. Summer is fun!!
