Each month, we will learn about a different “Key” to making a difference in the world around us. For the scary month of October, we will be discussing courage.
We recognize that courage can appear in small ways, like raising our hand in class, and in large ways, by speaking in front of a group of people, or sticking up for someone who needs your help. We use courage to make difficult decisions, and to try new things.
I “encourage” you to share stories of when you were courageous, or times you remember your child having courage. Bea Tall, our giraffe, reminds us to stick our neck out for the common good each day.

With Halloween quickly approaching, I would like to remind students to choose a school-appropriate costume, and to leave all of their oh-so-scary accessories safely at home.
We will be in need of 10 pumpkins (all sizes) for our Pumpkin Science lesson on the 29th. If you are able to donate a pumpkin that day, please let me know. I will update you more on Halloween Pumpkin Science day as we get closer…
Thank you for updating dismissal cards as plans change. The end of the day comes too quickly, and it helps to have such clear directions from parents. PLEASE be sure to send in a note if something is changing for the day. It is especially important when subs are in for me, as they rely solely on the dismissal cards otherwise.
