Spelling City

The third grade teachers spent a LOT of time typing in every single spelling word from Reading Street.  We will spend time on the Spelling City website, practicing words, and taking tests….  Here’s the link to check it out!!

I just went online and found a game called Times Attack. It is a video game where you pick either multiplication, division, addition or subtraction which ever one you want to work on and then just play the game. It’s doing two things at once learning and having fun!

    Sincerely,
    Brody

    Hi Brody!

I just checked out the site – did you have to install the program in your computer? I’ll read more about it for the classroom. Let me know how it works out after you use it a few times.

Math fact practice is so important, and I’d love to find more sites that make it fun!

    See you tomorrow!
    Go Pats!
    Love,
    Mrs. Brooks

    Hi Jonathan,
My 3rd graders were surprised we didn’t have recess, either – but remember, you get out of school soooooooo early! Mrs. Brooks and Miss T. had to stay at school until dinnertime today! I would love a half day just like yours!!

What did you do today to keep yourself busy??

Thanks for saying hi – see you tomorrow!!

    Love, Mrs. Brooks

    Hi Jonathan,
I know! A long weekend! Are you doing anything fun? Today, Kierah and AJ are coming to my house to sleep over, and we’ll be going to see my Mom and Dad (Miss Sally, remember?) at the campground where they are all celebrating Halloween. Tomorrow we’re going back to the campground, and then we’re going to Falmouth for Lennonfest. Monday I’m making lasagna – YUM!

Thanks for stopping by and showing me your new clarinet – I can’t wait to hear you play! Have a wonderful weekend and tell Mom & Dad I said hello!!

    Love, Mrs. Brooks

    Hi Jonathan,
I’m so sorry to hear about Jazzy – she was such a nice kitty. Kendyl and Carson were sad when I told them and they said to tell you that she was so sweet.

I will be at school tomorrow and I am also excited about Halloween. I’m not going to be scary on Halloween, though. Are you??????

I’ll see you in the Hall!
    Love,
    Mrs. Brooks
