I cannot believe it is June. Wasn’t it just September? It is crazy how fast the year flies by. Your students have grown by leaps and bounds, and I’m sure you have seen the transformation as well. Our 6th Annual Living Wax Museum personified all that third grade learning represents: independence, confidence, collaboration, creativity and self-reflection. Lots to celebrate! We hope you enjoyed the entire evening.
We are still looking for drivers for this Friday (at this point, we don’t have any) to Aptuxcet. There is a $2.00 charge per student for this trip. If we are required to cancel, we will return all money. On a hopeful note, we are AWFULLY close to having enough drivers for next Wednesday (the 12th) to the Cape Cod Canal. We only need space for 5 students for that trip! That trip is free. Both trips require lunches.
This Wednesday is our 3rd Grade Recorder Concert. We hope to see everyone there!!
Field Day will be Monday, June 17th – details concerning times and location will be coming home soon. In 3rd grade, we do not decorate t-shirts. Instead, we all wear bandanas to show team spirit. We are asking for a $2.00 donation per child to help cover the cost of these.
Be sure to clear your calendars for our Room 204 Family Farewell Celebration – 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 18th. We’ll have some work to share and some fun surprises. Everyone is welcome.
Just a note that both Student Blogs and XtraMath will remain open for the entire summer. I’d love to see students participate in both activities to keep their skills sharp! If you need help accessing either one, be sure to drop me a line and I’ll get you on track. We just had two students reach milestones in XtraMath. Bravo to Shelby and Milo!!!
