Bits and Pieces

Hi Friends!

As you are enjoying your last drips of summer vacation, I thought I’d post a few things for those of you stopping by our little blog….

This website is one of my favorites for finding information about 7-11 year olds…  You’ll find strategies, ideas, support, information and ideas all relating to children at this wonderful age.  Be sure to check it out, and bookmark the page so you can go back and visit again!!

September 1st is our Family Pod Picnic at Mullen-Hall.  Join us from 5-6pm on the Mullen-Hall playground to mix and mingle with the teachers, students and family members of those in the Family Pod this year.  We’re excited to meet you!!

I’m getting excited about school starting – and realizing that I haven’t been into my classroom to start setting up.  I told my almost-4th grade friends that I would post when I’m going into the classroom if they want to come in and work hard :O).  Keep your eyes peeled, I’ll be posting soon!!

Drop me a note, or leave a comment if you have any questions about the upcoming year, and I’ll see you soon!!!

Hi Jonathan! Your comment was a nice surprise this morning! A Weblos den already? That’s very exciting!! I loved being in Girl Scouts so much, that I’m STILL a Girl Scout! I hope you have some great adventures this year, my friend.

How was your weekend trip to DC? You took the train, right – was it a fun ride? I’d love to do that someday.

Have a good night – see you in the Hall!

    Hi Jonathan,

Luckily I don’t have to do report cards just yet – but you are right, they are very hard work!

I hope you have a blast going mini-golfing with Aundria today!!

Yesterday we were VERY busy!! We went to Newport where we went apple picking, through a corn maze, to the ocean, and to a glass blowing place where Mrs. Brooks was able to make her own ornament! We had a great great day. I love weekends!!

See you tomorrow in the Hall!!!

Hi Greg and Margarida – thanks so much for your comment on our blog! I’m feeling far less nervous now that it’s all over, that’s for sure. I hope that I was able to give everyone a sense of who I am, and what the class is like – as I feel those are the two most important things to do on Meet the Teacher night. All the rest can fall into place as the year goes by.

We’re all off to a great start, and I look forward to getting to know all of our families here in Room 309 a little bit better.

    Thanks again!
    Suzy ~ aka Mrs. Brooks
