Technically Invisible

At Mullen-Hall, all classes have been focusing on National Citizenship and Constitution Day. We are talking about how the Constitution came to be, as well as its importance. We beginning to see how we each fit into the “Big Picture” as an individual citizen.

Together with Mrs. Langmead, we will be singing the Schoolhouse Rocks! version of the Preamble to the Constitution. We are mindful of our own classroom “constitution” – our Target Behaviors, and we will work towards them every day.

Fred the Moose was introduced in our classroom today. He will soon be joined by several other furry friends. Each new animal will share an important message with our class.

Be sure to ask your third grader all about them as they arrive. Every student is anxious to find out who the new Build A Bear addition will be this year! Stay tuned!

* Thank you for all the generous contributions you have made to our classroom. Each item will be put to good use!!

* This will be the first of many reminders for your child to bring a water bottle to school each day. We don’t allow juices or sports drinks at the desks to protect the work that we do, but water is encouraged!

* Snack time is open in Room 309, as your child might have explained. Students are never allowed to share snacks, and are allowed to eat at whatever time they like. If a student forgets a snack altogether, they may “borrow” one from my snack cabinet, but will then receive a Snack Ticket, reminding them to replace a snack for our inventory.
