On Friday, we sat on the rug talking about all of the stories we read this year in our reading program. I quickly realized that students were firing out titles from all the way back in September. So I started a chart on the board. I numbered the columns from 1 to 5, and before I knew it, the students were able to tell me the 5 themes, and list all of the 25 stories. They were even able to place the stories into the correct theme. I was SO impressed — this was all done from memory! Here’s our chart:

You were up earlier than I was this morning! Hopefully you’ll sleep in tomorrow on Saturday. When I woke up this morning the first thought in my head was “Huh?? What day is it???” It took me a minute to realize it was Fun Friday.
