Effort Affects Everything. I am piecing together my old blog to include not only what Education IS, but what Educators DO. Be patient as I unpack virtual boxes and search for hundreds of missing images lost in the move.

Hi Isabelle! My vacation has flown by – I’ve spent most of it doing projects around the house – organizing, throwing stuff away, things like that. What did you do in Boston? We love taking the kids to the city. Hope the rest of your week was wonderful and it was such a treat seeing you.
That sounds like a relaxing vacation! In Boston we went to the MFA museum. It is a really nice place. Then we went to a movie called Hugo in 3D, it was really, really good. After that we went to Faneuil Hall for lunch and then just hung out for a couple of hours.
I cant beleive it is already January. My birthday is in 19 days. Yours is in 17 days right?(sorry if I get it wrong, but I think it is the 21st)
Isabelle – you have an AWESOME memory!! Yep – the 21st – and yours is on a school day – do you get to do anything in middle school for birthdays? We no longer do food in our class (that’s new to you, right?) so instead we celebrate the birthday star with things other than sweets. You must know how hard that is for me, who LOVES anything sweet!
Your trip to BOS sounds wonderful – I have been to MFA, but my kids have not (well, perhaps Kendyl went with school?). There are so many fun things to do “In Town”.
Hope your adjustment back to school has been a smooth one. Talk to you soon!!
This is our second year of no food. Our motto is “We have Fun, not Food”. There are a bunch of reasons I made the switch last year, and I have stuck with it this year. I actually like the difference! The anoles make their way to us sometime later in the spring – when it’s warmer for them to be mailed :). Can’t wait!
Have a super night!
Love,
Mrs. Brooks
