When You Wish Upon a Wall….

Today in the lab, students created a virtual wall online where they placed some of their wishes….

The website, www. wallwisher.com, is a place where students log on and leave a quick “sticky note” stating something they are wishing for.

This site was new to me last year, and I’ve been playing with it ever since – I’ve created birthday wish walls for Kendyl & Carson, and plan to use walls in workshops I teach. Last year we used it to write a virtual thank you note to a presenter, and to share reflections at the end of the year.

I imagine it can even be used as a way for students to answer review questions, as they cannot see each other’s responses until I have approved them all. Oh the possibilities!

So…. What are students  wishing for?  The range is wide – and makes me smile each time I visit.  The wall will remain open for the remainder of the school year, so students are encouraged to stop by and add to it as they like.

The Wallwish link is on our blog.  You’ll also find a Contact Me link, where you can submit questions, comments or even articles for our classroom website.  Enjoy!!!!

🙂 Did you have a great week away from school?  Ready to gear up and return?  It’ll be a couple of days before everyone is back into the routine, but we’ll be rolling along before you know it!

🙂  Book Talks are slowly making their way onto the blog – look for the link on the right-hand side. OR RIGHT HERE!

🙂  With the snow (hopefully) behind us, we’re facing some full weeks ahead — full of fun, hard work, learning and sharing together.  Term Two is coming to a close, and report cards are coming out in just a couple of weeks!  TIME FLIES!!!

Dream Big,

Mrs. Brooks
